例え宇宙からのダイブという宇宙人でも嫌がりそうなスタントであっても 、Trugliaさんは自分にはそれができる素質 "he has what it takes"
があるんだと信じるプロフェッショナル魂があるわけです。
舞台の上のTrugliaさん筋肉ムキムキです。それだけでなく心地よいリズムの英語でオーディエンスをグイグイ引き込む話術もお持ちです。シャドウイングにピッタリの英語ですよ。
プレゼンの前半でスタントの歴史について話されていてとても興味深かったです。
今ではスタントマンといえでもキチンと現代テクノロジーを駆使した装備により、身の安全を最大限確保されたうえでスタント行為を行っているそうですが、昔は文字通り身体を張ってスタントを行っていたのだそうです。
例えばこのシーン。

Harold Lloyd here, hanging famously from the clock hands -- a lot of these guys did their own stunts. They were quite remarkable. They had no safety, no real technology. What safety they had was very scant.

なんらかのテクノロジーによって安全が担保されているわけでもなくガチ捕まり！怖すぎです。

これまで見てきた中で最も危険なスタントなんだよと仰っています。

プレゼンの後半はTrugliaさんが現在取り組んでいらっしゃっるプロジェクト"Space Jump" についてお話されます。

このスタントを成し遂げるために必要なのが宇宙服。

Trying to find a space suit to do this has led me to an area of technology that I never really expected when I set about doing this. I contacted a company in the States who make suits for NASA.

地球の外に飛び出してまで、まだ誰も成し遂げたことがないスタントに挑戦されるTrugliaさん。資金的なことも含めてまだまだ前途多難だそうですが、何かを捉えて離さないTrugliaさんの鋭い眼光が自分は絶対やって見せるぜとオーディエンスに訴えているようでした。
